Biography
Nicoletta Maria Fortuna was born in Castelgomberto -Vicenza- in 1961. She attended High School of Arts in Valdagno -Vicenza- and graduated in Modern and Medieval Art History in Bologna in 1986, writing a dissertation about museography on Nino Barbantini and the first manifestation in Cà Pesaro in Venice between 1908 and 1920.
She is teaches Art History at G. Fogazzaro high school in Vicenza.
She lives and works in Viale Trento 176 in Vicenza.
My work is connected to my history, filled with nature, study and silence.
The wood are my roots and in the porous soil, in the wood I immerse all of myself.
The colors and odors of nature become my setting, my humble and loved origin.
And my childhood landscapes become precious icons, for ever.
White is my destination in this search of art and life. I have looked for it all my life.
The infinite white makes me happy.
With white I dream, with it I can survive even when I lose myself in matter. Matter that can
reveal the space, the light, the color, the unrest of the surface. My nature can transform itself,
but contemplation is absolute. I am part of it.
